Salsa Line Dance
A fun session designed for adults, children,
or families, tailored for your specific group.
The Salsa rhythm moves us and goes deep to our
core. Salsa is Latin Soul. Danced in lines, without
partners (kids especially like this idea), we learn
authentic steps from Cuba and other Latin
countries. It’s believed that Africans brought their
rhythms to the Caribbean and mixed them with
Indian and European melodies. Then came the
Spanish lyrics. Puerto Ricans brought the music
and their dance style to New York and added
some jazzy moves.
When we are immersed in a culture by way of its
music and dance, we begin to understand that
culture through its rhythms. What a wonderful
way to appreciate diversity and bridge cultural
gaps. By dancing together, we are all one.
